We use exhibitions as a chance to get everyday Muslims behind overcome.tv. But simply exhibiting isn't enough as we have to engage people. And for that, we need the help of volunteers.
Our work is crowd-funded by everyday Muslims. So we exhibit at conventions and expos because they bring together lots of everyday Muslims in one place at one time.
Visitors are delighted to support us when they understand what we're all about. But that needs us to have volunteers who can engage them alongside us. And all you have to do is donate your time to be with us at the event, as well as 2 short training sessions beforehand.
In addition to handing out cards that invite people to visit our stall, you'll be introducing overcome.tv to the people who walk past our stall. There's a short script for you to learn and if you face any challenging questions, you can just refer them to our core team.
Being able to engage people is an invaluable life trait. And, as with everything else in life, you only get good at something by having good training, good practice and good mentors. By helping us exhibit, you'll get all 3 and, by the end of the event, engaging with people will be as natural to you as swimming is for fish! :)
Results are in Allah's hands! He simply wants us to put ourselves forward and do our best!
